Please join us as the Future Forum convenes to discuss the looming threat of a nuclear Iran with former Governor and Senator Charles Robb. Senator Robb recently co-authored the Bipartisan Policy Center report Meeting the Challenge: When Time Runs Out, an update to an earlier report on Iranian nuclear development. To quote the report, “The most immediate national security threat to the United States is Iran’s rapid progress toward achieving nuclear weapons capability—and time is running out. A nuclear Islamic Republic of Iran must be prevented, as it cannot be contained.”

A reception will follow the discussion. Free parking will be available in the LBJ Library visitors’ lot (lot #38).

Greg Davis, an Austin resident, has reached international acclaim since being chosen as one of very few in the world on the National Geographic selection list.

The images in this show are from Vietnam, India and Istanbul to name a few and are striking. His talent is obvious but his story of how and why he recently started this new life path will also be discussed at the reception.

You are invited to join Austin artist Honora Jacob at the Wally Workman Gallery for reception and talk about her work- Oil paintings that depict the feminine archtypes. The reception will begin at 5PM, and Honora will speak about her work at 6PM.

“Jacob creates multi-layered oil paintings that explore feminine archetypes in our contemporary context and their relation to a historical past. From fruit and butterflies to numeric notations, this symbolism alludes to questions of feminine duality, female intuition and fertility.
